Check Drives

These are held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month (NOT necessarily every two weeks). They run between 9 am until 11 am. An observed run cannot be guaranteed for anyone arriving after 11am.

Social Evenings

These are held at the same venue as the Check Drives on the Second Tuesday of each month. We now have a rolling programme throughout the year so that we can include Associate Theory training and some Observer meetings. They begin at 7.45pm and usually end at about 9.30pm. They are open to ALL Group members and their families. If there is no guest speaker or subject below, we have yet to confirm a speaker for that date - it does not mean the date has been cancelled.

                                                            2008.  This is our Fortieth Year.

                                    Due to very small attendances at socials we have cancelled all until.  October, when we will hold a quiz.

                                    December will at this time be a Skittles night.

                                    It is anticipated that socials may be continues next year.  Please see this page for further information.

 

We have a Guest Speaker at each one. In the past these have included representatives from Warwickshire Police (including a hands on demonstration of radar and laser speed detectors), the West Midlands Fire Brigade driver training unit, the West Midlands Police accident investigation team, the Red Cross, and even the Samaritans.

The Social Evening is also used for presentations of certificates to those who have passed their Advanced Motoring Test and for sharing any Group news and information.
